As we enter this new era in the evolution of IAI, we find ourselves in a time of transition: new faces coming in, familiar faces phasing out. But it’s not a transition of who we are as a company, our values, or our goals; this is more of a transition of key positions that have been held by the same individuals for quite long periods, some since the inception of our corporation. This ‘changing of the guard’ is inevitable, oftentimes accompanies growth, and if planned for properly, can be completed seamlessly, and leave us stronger. Rebecca Hatfield and Teri Kuhlman are two of those familiar faces that have recently moved on.
Rebecca, Human Resources Assistant, has been with us since 2008, and is familiar to anyone who has had direct interaction with our Rockford office. Rebecca has been instrumental in just about everything, ranging from her human resources responsibilities to travel reservations and party planning – and many things in between. Rebecca and her husband, Shawn, welcomed twins in November, and Rebecca will now be focusing on being a full-time mother.
Mary D’Amore has joined the IAI team to pick up where Rebecca left off. If you haven’t already spoken with Mary when calling into the office, you’ll likely encounter her sometime soon. Please join us in welcoming her warmly!
And as announced previously, Teri Kuhlman, Vice President of Human Resources and IAI employee no. 2, has served exceptionally since the incorporation of IAI in 2000. From hiring to payroll and benefits, as well as leadership of the corporate safety program, Teri has worn many hats. Now she has chosen to hang up those hats, and try on some new ones, as she retires from IAI. Teri has laid solid foundations for nearly all personnel and policy-related facets of our business, and has set the HR Department up for continued success. Teri looks forward to being able to spend more time with her family, particularly her four grandchildren. She began working a reduced schedule in January 2014 and will be fully retired in January 2015. It would be impossible to list every contribution that Teri has made to IAI over the past 14 years; be assured, they were many. Please join us in wishing Teri a happy retirement.
As Teri leaves us, Matthew Schindewolf has been appointed as our Corporate Health and Safety Officer. In addition to his responsibilities of Plant Manager for the Brighton Township Wastewater Treatment Facility, Matt will be overseeing the corporate safety department. Matt has been an associate, client, fellow employee and bandleader (literally) for many of our staff for almost 30 years; he’s no stranger to the responsibilities he has accepted on behalf of IAI. Also as part of Teri’s transition, Gale Scott has joined the IAI Team as our Human Resources Manager. Gale joined us full-time in September, and is already knee-deep into all things HR-related.
Please join us in welcoming Mary, Matt and Gale, and don’t forget to thank Rebecca and Teri for their selfless contributions to the growth of our company. While faces may be changing, the DNA of IAI remains intact and strong. We are anxious to take on the next year and the next phase in our evolution. Thank you to each and every one of our employees for your continued efforts and support. 2015, here we come!Share this:
