In 2022 Dana Trierweiler, P.E., IAI’s President & CEO, formed 501(c)(3) charitable organization: the IAI H2O FOUNDATION. The foundation is fully funded by IAI and seeks to do good and promote both human and environmental causes in the communities where we work. “Since its incorporation, IAI has always actively given back. With the establishment of a dedicated foundation, we will more formally and consistently participate, not only in the communities where we work, but also more abroad as we ‘pay forward’ our role as stewards of the water environment.”

IAI H2O FOUNDATION is directed by John Barthels, a member of IAI’s Board of Directors and Senior Project Manager for our Contract Operations Division. John said, “Through the hard work of our employees over the past 22 years, IAI has become a successful business, and we believe the time is right to engage in more philanthropic opportunities. We have formed a Stewardship Committee, made up of volunteer employees from across the IAI organization, representing diverse backgrounds, demographics and personal interests. As a group, the Stewardship Committee will be responsible for finding, selecting, and championing the efforts of the IAI H2O FOUNDATION.”

Some of the values that are considered by the Stewardship Committee, when selecting projects and causes for the IAI H2O FOUNDATION to support, include:

Benefits the people in a community where IAI is working
Improves the water environment in a community where IAI is working
Provides an opportunity for IAI employees to participate as volunteers and/or through donations
Benefits military veterans
Includes an educational component
Supports clean, safe water for communities everywhere
